ABOUT OUR HISTORY
We lost the local War on drugs in 2009. We we operating Fresno Compassion Association as a medical cannabis collective, when the City of Fresno forced us to shut our doors.
It’s a different day, a whole new life. After battling city officials and the rest of the state of California. Going from city to city and advocating for change. Meeting every city manager and council member in Fresno and abroad, we can finally say that WE BEAT THE WAR ON DRUGS and we are re-opening our doors!
“If you fight for it, you will come out on top!“
We Are Non-profit Social Equity
We are an employee owned non-profit organization, focusing on the Valley’s forgotten. When the War on Drugs was over, it left many of the warriors without the ability to open their desired cannabis businesses when jurisdictions limited the permits.
The stakes got raised and multi million dollar corporate interests moved in and compliance and state permit requirements became impossible for the small business owner. This left the local guys out of work.
After fighting for freedom from prohibition all these years, the cannabis advocates are back to being criminals. The Fresno Originals is working to change that.
Anyone that is from Fresno and is in the cannabis industry and/or has been a victim of the war on drugs, may join our organization and receive full benefits.
